Here's Tomie at the Peach Days Parade. Parades are always a favorite 'cuz they involve candy,

horses, tractors, and balloons. We got to watch the parade with the Johnsons, Gublers, and Strattons. Tomie kept putting his candy in one of the chairs, which was a good idea until Mae-mae decided to sit there and started eating all the pre-gathered candy. Smart girl!
After the parade Tomie got to play a harp at one of the displays. He thought that was pretty stinkin' cool! He also liked watching the horses get shoed. The boys liked spotting all the dragon pictures at the art show and Mom liked eating the frosty-smoothy-peachy goodness she got at the neighbors' booth. Yeah, that beverage didn't last too long in the hands of the perpetually over-heated pregnant lady!
Later we ate YUMMY navajo tacos with the Stratton cousins@ Grandma Stratton's and then helped Grandma Gubler take down her fabulous, award-winning display. This involved Levi doing a lot of heavy lifting while Saddie and Tomie ran around and played. Overall, a pretty successful holiday, I dare say!
