A Sociological Study

Why is it, that no matter how long I am tending children, the last 30 minutes tend to unravel into insanity? Be it four days, four hours, or forty minutes - the time will fly by pleasantly until some mystical cue inspires chaos and mental disquiet. Is there some chemical trigger that speaks to children to start going crazy? Perhaps I begin to secrete a pheromone due to a heightened sense of expectation. Whatever causes it - oi! - it only gets exponentially worse after the end time has passed!

The question then is this: is this a universal rule or a bizarre singularity? Am I pathologically impatient, or does this happen to you too?

Dear 'Yeggo,

You don't know me, but I am your most devoted fan. I watch your show religiously and wail in despair when my uncaring mother heartlessly comes between us - she just doesn't understand! But fear not, when I sleep, it is only of you that I dream!

Oh that I were Baby Jaguar and always by your side! What a pair we would be!! We could fly away on Rescue Pack, forever rescuing the animals in trouble... just you and me (and maybe Dora, Boots, and Alicia... they're pretty cool too.)

Sand in our Shoes

January was pretty horrible sicky-speaking, but it still had it's bright moments. One day we escaped the house in Grandpa's 'zuki and made for some sand dunes!

I found two mountain lions!

 And some tracks!

Then we all made tracks of our own.

The kids enjoyed climbing and exploring while I hunted them with my camera.

They make very elusive prey - but are well worth the effort.

Now if only the adult specimens were more photogenic... :)

Either way, it was a fun day out on Our Gubler Oddyssey.
