Life has been more than the average amount of crazy on our Gubler Oddyssey lately. Levi's been working overtime, I've been working-tired-hormonal-pregnant, and the kids have been dropped off with anyone who'd take 'em. It's been stressful (to say the least) and has taken its toll on our little family. My poor Hazel even started to cry when she went to go play the other day, and she's ALWAYS up for a playdate. Each cloud has a silver lining, though, and here are some of the fun things we managed to do together:

As you can tell, it was chilly, but the kids were stinkin' cute and and got PLENTY of candy (we actually still have some).
Next up is Hazel's dance recital. She was SO EXCITED to perform (perhaps even more excited to wear lip gloss.)
Unfortunately, the beginning of the recital didn't go as she expected and it threw her off her groove, but all was good once it was time to "See Me Run!" She just can't get enough of that song.
With everyone else running around like recently decapitated chickens, we ate out A LOT over the last two months. We mostly lived on chicken nuggets and pizza, but after an especially stressful day, Levi took us to Red Robin. Of course, we went on Tuesday so the kids got to have their faces painted and a free sundae (ooh ahh!)
Easter was lots of fun too. Saturday found us at the Heaton grandparents for lunch and visiting, at the Demille's annual neighborhood Easter extravaganza for hunting and visiting, and finally to Levi's parents' for fun and still more visiting. Exhausting, but worth it.
Easter morning the kids got to wear their pretty (um... handsome) new Easter clothes to church. When they got home, they found that the Easter Bunny had found their house! He brought them hanging baskets and
some change to buy flowers to plant in them (we've since bought the plants, but have yet to plant them. Argh. At least the peat liners make great nests for pretending to be a mother bird.)
Levi and I gave them these toys for Easter (the kids already knew we had them and couldn't wait - no really COULD NOT wait to get them. Tomy was in tears more times than I can count waiting to get his truck. Does he play with it very often now... um... nope.) Can I just say that I only paid $3 for the $30 Barbie princess carriage of power - WOOT! Tomy's was $8 from $20, still good, but $3!?! Is it wrong that I get a buzz from a really good deal? Wait - don't answer that. I don't want to know the answer. :)
Last week we made it to Jean, NV for our annual mining excursion. Levi had the time off arranged FOREVER in advance, but work still managed to shorten our trip on both ends (just breathe Saddie - in - out - center - center...*sigh*) so the trip was shorter (and perhaps a little colder) than we would've liked. Still we had an enjoyable time: Levi got to bound around like a wild kangaroo, the kids got to ride on the 4-wheeler, and I finally got to see Travis's new home. Sadly, this looks like the last year we'll be going to Jean, and this picture of my one-year old niece is the sum total of the pictures I took. At least she's stinkin', chubby, cute (Levi's not so bad either :)
And so we've managed to survive the last few months (if only just) and May's end promises to rid us of a large number of stressors - so here's to the memories and the sunny prospects of summer! YEAH!
